Friends of Redeemer
Redeemer has over 2,000 Covenant Members now, but the number of people who have been impacted by our church over the past 18 years is far larger. We're humbled to think about how many people have loved and prayed for us over the years, many of whom have never set foot inside our sanctuary.
If you're one of those people, or if you simply have a heart to see Redeemer thrive, we would love for you to join us in building a new home for our church family and for the generations of believers to come.

Redeemer began in 2008 with a few dozen people in a living room in Crestwood. Since then, the Lord has grown our church family to over 2,000 Covenant Members. Thankfully, through every season and every building, what has always defined us remains the same – the deeply welcoming environment, the intentional way our church family cares for one another, and the faithful declaring of the good news of the gospel to a world that needs it.
Praise God that – even as our membership has grown – our brothers and sisters still feel seen, known, loved, and encouraged to pursue the calling that God has on their lives.
Our Plan
On February 25, 2026, we purchased the former Trinity Medical Center property, just a mile away from our existing sanctuary. The site includes over 25 acres of land, with 1,200 parking spaces and plenty of open space for development. Its proximity allows Redeemer to remain in the heart of Birmingham, connected to the neighborhoods and partnerships we love. God has continued to open doors and make this project viable, and our primary goal has been to walk forward faithfully.
This property is much more than just a solution to logistical challenges. We believe it will be a foundation for long-term gospel impact in Birmingham and beyond.

The giving goal for this project is $27 million, and we firmly believe this is a goal that only God can make possible. This project is going to require everyone who calls Redeemer home — and then some.
