We’ve been in Avondale since 2014, but Redeemer’s history is a story of movement. We’d love for you to see where we believe God will root us for generations to come.
We’re working incredibly hard behind the scenes to make this project possible, and we look forward to sharing more about our plans in 2026. Until then, one of the best ways to learn more about this project is to join Joel at the site. You'll be able to hear more about our vision for the property and the steps that we’ve taken to get there.
Whether you’re a Redeemer member, regular attendee, or first-time guest, you are welcome.

The site can be a bit confusing to access, but Google Maps should get you pretty close if you use "800 Montclair Road, Birmingham, AL 35213" as the destination.
You are welcome to park along the street or in either parking deck.

Due to general debris in the area, we encourage you to wear closed-toed, comfortable shoes. If you're able, we highly recommend a view from the upper-floor of one of the buildings, which requires around 6 flights of stairs.
The site has very little protection from the cold, so we encourage you to dress warmly.
Lastly, a flashlight wouldn't hurt, especially if visiting for sunrise or sunset.

Kids are absolutely welcome, and dozens of families have joined us without incident! Please remember that this is a construction site, and children could get hurt if they wander off unsupervised.

Members of our church family regularly gather on site to pray for the future of Redeemer. Recently, Joel began inviting visitors to leave a rock behind as a witness of their prayers and presence.
In Scripture, God’s people often set stones in place to remember his faithfulness and to anchor their hope in his promises. In the same spirit, each rock we place is a small act of trust that God is building what we cannot yet see. It also reflects our shared commitment as a community and becomes a quiet testimony for the generations who will worship here after us, reminding them of the ways God has provided.

Absolutely! Individuals, groups, and families are welcome to visit the site at any time.
Please remember that this is an unsecured construction site, and the buildings and grounds can be dangerous. We recommend closed-toed shoes, a flashlight, and visiting with a friend if possible.
